Barack Obama is probably the Anti-Christ
08-Apr-08
Hey everyone,
This is not site related news, but something I deem important enough to put on my home page. Anyone who follows politics even a little, can see that Barack Obama is more than likely going to be the next president. I believe that this will hail the beginning of the end of the world. Here is why:

The anti-Christ is supposedly a smooth talking man of peace.
- Have you seen this guy? He's charming as hell, and can convert almost everyone to his cause.

The anti-Christ is said to be a man from the east
- Uhh, yeah. He's from the east alright.

Many prophecies place special value on the year 2012
- That will be the 4th year of his reign which works out well, because it was prophesied that the anti-Christ would rule in peace for roughly 3 years, and then show his true self in the 4th. Timing seems to work out pretty slick.

Tensions rising in the middle-east
- During end times, the great mosque will be destroyed, and something else gets build there. I'm fuzzy on the details, but really, with the way things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if everything blew up tomorrow, not just that mosque.

I'm not a researcher of historian, but I know a little about what the bible say about the end times, and what I'm seeing now. Things are lining up pretty close, and to be honest I'm freaked out. I'm not saying lock yourself in a cave and give up hope. By the same token, don't worship this guy when he demands it, as I'm fairly sure he will.

Hope I'm wrong.

Hey SamuraiDrifter
Yeah, I've heard about the prophecy being about criticizing the roman government, and that does work out fairly well (did you see the same documentary I did on A&E or History channel or whatever?). I dunno, I was in a rather paranoid mood when I wrote that thing, so looking back and rereading it I kinda feel like a nut. Anyway, like Faeresse said, either way, doesn't really matter, whatever is going to happen is going to happen. I guess if you wait long enough, any "prophecy" will come true, you just have to interpret events to match it. In this case a bunch of non out of the ordinary events seem to match up kinda to something written a long time ago probably pertaining to something else entirely. Not anything to get worked up about it seems.

Actually, the idea was that the Antichrist would make a 7-year peace treaty with Israel and exactly halfway through would break it.

As for tensions rising in the middle east, I wouldn't exactly say they're "rising" as it's basically been one huge war there for the past 1,000 years. Personally, I'd be more freaked out by peace in the middle east than war.

Sorry, forgot to add this in my last post, but what gets destroyed is a great Jewish temple in Israel. It's supposedly destroyed by the Antichrist and rebuilt with a temple in his honor, after he defiles the altar in the current temple.

As an added note, many people don't even think that Revelations was an end-times prophecy, but rather a disguised criticism of the Roman government, which seems to work out pretty well.

Wow, I guess I should check this thing more often.

But, to your point, I agree, since I first saw this guy, I thought he would bruing about the end of the world.
